Hilma af Klint:
Flowers, Mosses, and Lichens

Melampyrum nemorosum: don´t forget the innocence of ParadiseHaK

The Swedish Hilma af Klint (1862–1944), the brightest star of the last decade, a rediscovered pioneer of abstract art, whose exhibition Paintings for the Future at the Guggenheim Museum in New York in 2018 was seen by 600,000 visitors, will be presented in Olomouc as part of a special project. Hilma´s original displayed sketchbook from 1919–1920 from her late anthroposophical period is actually a large-scale botanical study, recording the characters and qualities of plants, in the creation of which she used a unique combination of clairvoyance, meditative observation and abstract artistic expression – a little miracle book called Flowers, Mosses and Lichens.
